How to have fun on Nob Hill

SF Weed Week comes to San Francisco’s quietly prestigious neighborhood of Nob Hill, known for luxury hotels, historic landmarks, preserved feats of architecture, and breathtaking views from the top of the city. The neighborhood known for its mansions will play host to two highly anticipated events at SPARC, one of the pioneer medical and adult-use dispensaries in the city.

On April 16, witness the unveiling of the game changing Messiah-caliber edible “Pink Jesus” from Sonoma Hill Farms followed by a grow showroom from one of the state’s best and most decorated cultivators, Fig Farms. Here are some things to do around Nob Hill, a quintessential experience of city elegance.

Eats:

Nob Hill Cafe—Enjoy a good cup of coffee or a slice of Tuscan pizza only a block away from the famed Grace Cathedral. Whatever you order, you’ll enjoy a healthy dose of local lore at this classic café serving up home-cooked meals.

Sutter Pub—Fancy some bangers and mash? This pub and all-day breakfast stop curates the best foods from the West Coast and our friends across the pond.

Bob’s Donuts—Donuts and weed go together better than Pippen and Jordan. Come to this 24-hour spot anytime for some glazed doughy goodness.

Drinks:

Zeki’s Bar—What some call the best bar in SF unites lovers of wine, beer, and mixed drinks under one roof. Cozy with not one, but dos brick fireplaces.

Liquid Gold—Come here if you’re into IPAs and have a friend who loves niche drinks, like coffee-flavored beer. The folks at Liquid Gold won’t judge, as their tap selection of over 30 beers has something for everyone.

Harper and Rye—If the whatever amount of Pink Jesus you ingested has you feeling cool and classy, head to this fancy pub for quality cocktails and cozy decor.

Sights:

Powell Cable Car Line—Head to Powell and Market and lineup to embark on one of the most quintessential SF experiences: a ride on a 100-year-old cable car. A gas-free through SF neighborhoods is as quaint as it is cool.

Cable Car Museum—After or before you’ve actually ridden one, enjoy an educational experience that showcases the mechanics behind the ride, and learn about their significance to the city’s transit development. Both fun and fascinating.

The Antique Vibrator Museum—Caught a buzz? Located inside Good Vibrations, this museum presents a titillating journey through the history of vibrators, with collections dating from the 1800s through the 1970s.

Shopping:

ReLove—A treasure trove for thrift enthusiasts, ReLove offers an array of gently-used clothing and accessories. It’s the perfect place for fashion-forward finds, minus the price-gouging.

Terrasol—Specializing in artisanal goods, Terrasol features a selection of handcrafted soaps, candles, and home decor. Each item promises to bring a personal touch and warmth to your living space.

Picnic—Picnic is a quaint boutique filled with an eclectic mix of clothing, home items, and whimsical gifts. It’s an ideal spot for those seeking unique, locally-sourced products.

Getting to and from there:

MUNI:

Nob Hill is all about getting past the incline. You can walk from the J K M Powell train stops, or take the 1, 2, 8, and 49 bus lines.

BART:

Hop off at Powell or Montgomery Station and walk north, and uphill, for around 10 minutes.

Car/Taxi/Rideshare:

Only drive if no other modes work for you. Parking is a nightmare on these tiny, steep streets. Uber or Lyft are fine in a pinch, but may get stuck in traffic.
